Home with Mom
Over the holidays I went to visit my mom in Estacada, Oregon. A relatively small town about 45 minutes outside of Portland. Smaller than what I am used to, but I love visiting. Just couldn't live there...no matter how many times my mom gently "suggests" it. :)
For my mom's December birthday, she got a pretty new pool table. Her and her husband, Mike, are on a pool league. Getting the table has been a dream of Mike's for quite some time now, so why not get it for his wife's birthday!
I didn't play much pool while I was there, it's not my favorite activity. But, I was able to watch countless games between Mike and my step-brother. My mom would even jump in to show the boys how it's done!
Between the pool games her and I were in the kitchen baking. It was a great way to spend quality time with my mom. I don't get to see her much, so I will soak up whatever I can get! Plus, I love baking. We made several different kinds of cookie for the Christmas festivities we were invited to. Needless to say, we made a mess...a very delicious mess.
While I was staying in the guest bedroom I decided to take some random photos. These really have no meaning, I was just playing around. But these few things represent my mom and her home almost to a tee. It was a very nice getaway. And it was amazing to feel some real winter weather.
